PEDOMETRICS 2026
Intelligence, Integration, and Innovation in Soil Science
We are thrilled to announce PEDOMETRICS 2026, the premier international conference dedicated to advancing soil science through cutting-edge methodologies and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The conference will be held in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, from 15–18 September 2026. Set against the stunning backdrop of Bali, Indonesia, this year’s theme—Intelligence, Integration, and Innovation in Soil Science—reflects our commitment to exploring the future of pedometrics in a rapidly evolving world.
PEDOMETRICS 2026 will convene global experts in soil data analytics, geostatistics, machine learning, and environmental modeling to share insights, foster collaboration, and inspire new approaches to understanding and managing soils.

Conference Topics Include

Field to landscape-scale mapping, regional to continental DSM, global soil products, multi-resolution and multi-depth frameworks, spatiotemporal and dynamic DSM, scalability and benchmarking.
Quantifying soil functions (carbon storage, water regulation, biodiversity habitat, nutrient cycling) and translating soil information into ecosystem service assessments.
Interpretable AI, hybrid process–ML models, foundation models, transfer learning, and responsible AI for pedometrics.

Integration of proximal, remote, and in-situ sensing with multimodal fusion and ML inference for soil property and process estimation.
Coupling pedometric models with soil process models (SOC turnover, hydrology, nutrient cycling), digital twins of soils, and physics-informed machine learning, modeling soil–atmosphere feedbacks, climate-driven soil change, extreme events, and modelling soil dynamics under future climate scenarios.
Pedogenesis, soil classification, expert knowledge, and legacy data; soil digital twins; embedding process understanding into predictive frameworks.

Uncertainty quantification, error propagation, causal inference, risk assessment, and communication of soil information for policy and land-management decisions.
FAIR soil data, open-source tools, reproducible workflows, capacity building, and equitable access to soil information globally.
